This video was really helpful for me to understand Medea better. It was very interesting to make parallel's between the book and the movie. While watching the movie, I realised how auditory and visual imagery play such a crucial role in reflecting a character's personality. Medea's character in the movie is also significant in representing gender inequality that existed during 431 BC.
ReplyDeleteThis wilfully complex film, which some find baffling and infuriating, is a Freudian-Marxist take on the myth. I watched the entire movie and found it very interesting to see that the stage directions and theatrical conventions can create such a huge impact on the audience.
